Today, blogging is one of the most popular communication activities; anyone can publish blog entries on every subject and receive feedback from readers, thus making blogging a truly interactive, two-way communication form. For this reason, Microsoft has launched its own blogging program, called Live Writer. With it, you can write your blog entries in an editor very similar to the popular MS Word processor, and publish them in any of the most popular blogging services, including Windows Live Spaces.
Now, if you have a blog and use Live Writer to upload content to it, you can also use the Bible Verse Live Writer Plugin, a very useful feature that lets you include Biblical quotes and phrases into your blog entries. It consists in a very tiny file which you can download directly from the developer's site and unzip it into the Plugins folder of your Live Writer. Also, if you like easier things, there is an installer, which is just a little "heavier" than the zipped plugin. Once you have installed the file using any of these methods, you will find the Bible Verse element in the Insert menu; by clicking on it, a window will appear, asking you to type the book, chapter and verse you want to add to your blog entry. The plugin has an auto-complete feature, so you won't need to type the entire title of the book. If you don't type the chapter and verse numbers, the entire book will appear. You can choose to show/hide the verse numbers and to include a link to the Web page where the Bible quote is displayed. On this page, your readers will even be able to listen to the verse read aloud by a male talent. In short, if you are a blogger and want to add Biblical content to your entries, this small plugin is definitely for you.
